Successful testing for Omega Subsea Robotics

Omega Subsea Robotics' remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) have now passed their final indoor testing, also known as the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT).

After several successful and intensive testing days in the pool at Kystdesign, the vehicles have been formally delivered to Subsea. Over the next few weeks, the ROVs will be deployed on a Solstad vessel, which is heading for a long-term contract.

“When the systems are fully mobilized on board, we conduct a final check-out known as the Site Acceptance Test (SAT). We have worked closely with Kystdesign throughout the construction process, which has led to successful test results,” says ROV Manager at Omega Subsea, Frank Juven Widme.
